R. Michael House
R. Michael House is the Founder and Principal of House Properties, Inc., a company specializing in real estate acquisitions and development. Over the past 14 years, he has completed real estate property transactions in excess of $200 million including: Shopping Centers, Office Buildings, Hotels, Land Development, Industrial Buildings, Storage Facilities, Multi-Family Buildings, and Raw Land. Mr. House has developed extensive real estate experience in a wide range of areas including: Joint Ventures, Hybrid Syndication, Asset Management, Commercial Real Estate Lending, Participating Mortgages, Land Entitlement and Re-Zoning, Development, Investment Brokerages, Mortgage Banking, Accounting, and Appraisal.

- Managing Member of 5 Souls, LLC, the largest owner of Sierra Vista Mall, a 580,000 square foot shopping center in Clovis, CA; a venture valued in excess of $30,000,000.
- Managing Member of 5 Souls II, LLC, the largest owner of an unencumbered 20-acre parcel adjacent to Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis, CA
- Managing Member of Rockhouse Ventures, the largest owner of Fig Garden Village, a 245,000 square-foot shopping center in Fresno, CA, a venture valued in excess of $45 million.
- Managing Member of Hotel del Sol, a 57-room boutique hotel in the Marina district of San Francisco, CA.
- Managing Member of Mojave Resort, a 24-room boutique hotel in Palm Desert, CA.
- Managing Member of a multi-family building in the Russian Hill district of San Francisco, CA.
- Managing Member of a 12,000 square-foot office building in downtown San Francisco, CA.
- Managing Member of a multi-family building in downtown Carmel, CA.
- General Partner in 133 light industrial/storage units in Salinas, CA.
- Managing Member of Rockhouse Ventures, LLC, the largest owner of a vacant cinema parcel in Fresno, CA for future development.

- Managing Member of Rockhouse Ventures, LLC, the largest owner of a 13,500 square-foot office building developed and sold in Fresno, CA.
- Managing Member of a 30,000 square-foot shopping center in Morgan Hill, CA that was purchased, repositioned, and sold.
- Managing Member of the purchase, condominium conversion, and sale of two apartment buildings in San Francisco, CA.
- Managing Member of the purchase and sale of an apartment building in the Presidio Heights district of San Francisco, CA.
- Purchased, entitled, developed, and sold a 50 acre subdivision with 43 one-acre lots in Salinas, CA.
- Managing Partner of the acquisition, repositioning/retrofitting, and sale of the 49-room Carmel Valley Inn and Tennis Resort (currently Bernardus Lodge) in Carmel Valley, CA.
- Managing Partner of MPM Investments, 12 percent owner of a $50 million office building in downtown San Jose, CA.
- Purchased, repositioned, and sold two office buildings in downtown Salinas, CA.
- Developed and sold speculative house in Tiburon, CA.

Prior to starting House Properties, Mr. House completed Union Bank’s Uniform Credit Training Program, where he specialized in Commercial Real Estate Lending. Mr. House earned his Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University in 1987 and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Real Estate Finance. Mr. House is a licensed Real Estate Broker.

Prior to starting House Properties, Mr. House was an Associate in Laventhol/Horwath, an accounting and business consulting firm, specializing in commercial, mixed-use, conference center and hotel development appraisal, feasibility and viability studies, strategic planning and fiscal and economic impact analysis. Mr. House has worked with, and on behalf of, various hotel companies, government agencies, banking institutions and foreign and domestic hotel investors. He assisted in the inception of Horwath & Horwath Asia Pacific and consulted on a variety of projects in Asia valued at approximately $300M-$400M.
Mr. House earned his Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning and Management from the University of California, Davis. He is currently a licensed General B Contractor, a member of the Board of Directors of Northern California Golf Association and the Boys and Girls Club. He is a past Board of Director of the Palma Development Foundation and Corral de Tierra Country Club.
