Mike House is a Founder and Principal of House Properties, a private real estate investment company established to acquire and develop or reposition commercial, residential, retail, and industrial real estate. Mike has over 20 years of experience in all facets of the real estate business, including acquisitions, asset management, joint ventures, lending, brokerage, participating mortgages, development, land entitlement and re-zoning, and banking.  This experience also crosses various asset classes, including single family residential, multi-family dwellings, retail, office, industrial, mixed-use, and hotels.

Throughout his career, Mike has completed real estate transactions in excess of $350 million. This vast experience has enabled Mike to develop an extensive deal flow network of brokers, real estate owners, appraisers, bankers, attorneys, accountants, architects, entrepreneurs, contractors, as well as private and public real estate groups.

Prior to starting House Properties, Mike completed Union Bank’s Uniform Credit Training Program, where he specialized in Commercial Real Estate Lending. Mike earned his Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University in 1987 and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Real Estate Finance. Mike is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

R. Mark House is the Founder and Principal of House Properties, Inc., a company specializing in real estate acquisitions and development. Over the past 18 years, he has completed real estate property transactions in excess of $250 million including: Shopping Centers, Office Buildings, Hotels, Land Development, Industrial Buildings, Storage Facilities, Multi-Family Buildings, and Raw Land. Mr. House has developed extensive real estate experience in a wide range of areas including: Joint Ventures, Hybrid Syndication, Asset Management, Commercial Real Estate Lending, Land Entitlement and Re-Zoning, Development, Investment Brokerages, Mortgage Banking, Accounting, and Appraisal.

Prior to starting House Properties, Mr. House was an Associate in Laventhol & Horwath, an accounting and business consulting firm. He was part of the Leisure Time Industries Department specializing in mixed-use commercial developments, conference centers, hotel development/appraisal/feasibility/viability studies, strategic planning, and fiscal and economic impact analysis. Mr. House has worked with, and on behalf of, various hotel companies, government agencies, banking institutions and foreign and domestic hotel investors

Mr. House earned his Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning and Management from the University of California, Davis. He is currently a licensed General B Contractor and Vice President of the Northern California Golf Association. He is a past Board of Director of the Palma Development Foundation, Corral de Tierra Country Club, NCGA Foundation and Boys and Girls Club.
